Throwback Thursday: Mr Cartoon x G-Shock DW-6900MRC

A driving force in Los Angeles’ creative culture, Mister Cartoon applies his signature hand-rendered graphics to this week's throwback feature G-Shock. The limited edition DW-6900MRC-8 is unmistakably Mister Cartoon’s creation, with tattoo-esque application of “clown face” in silver running on each side of the L.A. Dodgers’ Blue wrist band.





More details, including Mister Cartoon’s own insignia, are found on the silver colored time unit itself. A holographic LCD display face presents the word “CTOON” when the electroluminescent backlight is activate. Etched on the water-tight aluminum watch back is another variant of Mister Cartoon’s signature, this time in his familiar curvature font.

The Mister Cartoon x Casio G-Shock DW-6900MRC-8 was launched in November 2009.
